Arroz con Dulce is a traditional Puerto Rican dessert usually eaten during the holidays but can be enjoyed all year long.
Arroz con dulce means "sweet rice" or "candy rice".
It has a consistency very similar to arroz con leche.
It is typically served at room temperature and sometimes raisins are included in the arroz con dulce recipe.

Ingredients List:
- 2 Cups Water
- 1 Cup Medium Grain Rice
- 4 Cups Milk
- 6 oz Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 2 Cinnamon Sticks
- Pinch of Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp Lemon Zest
- Ground Cinnamon
Preparation:
Add 2 cups water to saucepan over medium high heat. Bring water to boil, stir in rice and salt. Return water to boil. Reduce heat to low, covered and simmer until water is absorbed, about 15 minutes.
Stir in milk, cinnamon sticks and lemon zest.
Bring milk to boil. Reduce heat to low and cook, uncovered, until mixture is thick and creamy, stirring occasionally, about 25 minutes.
Stir in condensed milk and vanilla. Cook, stirring often, until flavor is absorbed, about 5 minutes more.
Pour rice pudding into large bowl. Place plastic wrap directly on surface of rice pudding. Pudding will thicken as it cools.
Serve warm or chilled. Sprinkle with cinnamon before serving.
