Ingredients List:
- 8 TBSP Unsalted Butter
- 3 Eggs
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 6 ozs Semisweet Chocolate
- 1 Cup Dulce de Leche
- 1/4 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1 Cup Toasted Pecans or Walnuts, Coarsely Chopped, Optional
Preparation:
Lay down foil in an 8-inch square baking dish. Spray with non-stick cooking spray. Use a small saucepan to melt the butter. While stirring constantly over a low heat add the semi-sweet chocolate until the chocolate melts.
Remove from the saucepan from the heat and add the cocoa powder stirring until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, then add in the sugar, vanilla, and salt.
Then stir in the flour and the nuts, if deisred. Pour approximately half of the batter into the baking dish. Scoop out half of the dulce de leche and pour over the brownie batter.
Use a knife to create an attractive swirl effect. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top of the swirl, then add the remaining dulce de leche, swirling once more with your knife.
Bake approximately 40 minutes. Remove baking dish from the oven and allow your dulce de leche brownies to cool before serving.
